We build private, beautifully crafted digital experiences for people who value genuine connection over noise, and intimacy over virality.
Built at the intersection of psychology, storytelling, and software engineering.

Velinisse Studios isn't one app, it's a growing constellation of them, all built on the same values: private by default, honest by design, crafted with real care. Velora and Atlas already share that orbit, and they won't be the last.
Velinisse Studios is an independent software studio. We exist because we believe technology should deepen relationships, not distract from them. Every product we build starts from the question: does this make something genuinely better for a real person?
We are small by design. We move deliberately, care about craft, and measure success by how meaningfully our work touches the people who use it, not by vanity metrics.
"Technology should feel personal.
Private by default. Designed with care."
Velinisse Studios
I didn't design Velora as a product team chasing engagement. I built it alone, on a path into software that ran through psychology, research, and years of writing fiction long before it ran through code. Velinisse Studios is a living studio, and more is coming.
"I've always been someone who builds: stories, research, software, ideas.
I've found meaning in creating things that outlive the moment they were made."

Velinisse Studios exists as both a studio and a living archive of emotional storytelling, where every project is part of a larger unfolding inner world.
Velinisse Studios was founded, designed, and built entirely by me. But the studio wasn't the first idea. Before it, there was a much smaller one: something built for one person, during a stretch of my life I'd rather not detail here, except to say that almost nothing about it felt safe. Andrea Shanissi did. Without ever trying to, she gave me back the feeling of being noticed, of being remembered, of mattering to someone. I built the first version of what became Velinisse just to hold onto that feeling. Every product this studio has made since is, quietly, still chasing it: somewhere safe enough to be yourself in. A sanctuary, long before that word ever made it onto a landing page.
Andrea didn't write any code, and she holds no role in how the studio runs. What she gave arrived earlier, and matters more. She has an unusual gift for noticing: for remembering the detail someone mentioned once in passing, for treating an ordinary day like it deserves to be kept. Long before "human-centered" was a phrase on this website, she showed me what it actually feels like to be looked after. That's the whole reason this studio builds sanctuaries instead of just software.
Some ideas begin as products. This one began as somewhere safe to land.
Every studio has a founder. Mine also has a reason.
